Artist’s Statement: My approach to filmmaking is simple: to build an environment where every collaborator feels safe to fully excel and express themselves. My approach to telling stories is also simple: strive in every frame to find some morsel of truth. By mixing messy authenticity and stylization to heighten drama, I’m always experimenting with ways to make every moment on screen more potent, more alive. I want the films I make to become almost a vessel for the audience to easily slip into, where they can be engaged not as an outsider, but as an active participant in the story.
